Tenth Regular Session of the National Assembly of People's Power begins in plenary session

The 10th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly of People's Power began in plenary session in its 9th Legislature, the last of the period and in which Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel is present.
 
The President of the Parliament, Esteban Lazo, submitted to vote the broad plan of the agenda that begins with the presentation of the Report on the Economy in the current year and the fulfillment of the approved measures, by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Alejandro Gil Fernandez.
 

Digital political communication will be the focus of Cuban journalists' debates

The workshop on tools for political communication and audiovisual production in the convergence scenario will exchange with international experts promoted by the Union of Journalists of Cuba.
 
The foreign guests, members of the Organizing Committee of the Colloquium Patria, will analyze, together with students from the University of Havana, the concept of the free press, given the presence of the Law of Social Communication in the National Assembly of People's Power.
 

Cuban Communists analyze the country's economic and social situation

Presided over by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, the Fifth Plenary Session of that political organization continues this Friday in Havana, which will last until tomorrow with a look at the core problems of Cuban society.

Caricom-Cuba Day celebrates strengthening cooperation in the region

Celebrations for Caricom-Cuba Day, to be commemorated today, are taking place amid the strengthening of cooperation between the region's states and Havana, as evidenced by the visit of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel to three countries in the Caribbean area.
 
At the invitation of the respective prime ministers of those island states, the president carried out intense work agendas in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, and Grenada, and headed the Cuban delegation to the 8th Caricom-Cuba Summit.
 

Díaz-Canel to participate in the VIII CARICOM-Cuba Summit

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel will participate in the 8th CARICOM-Cuba Summit to be held Tuesday in Barbados, in the context of the 20th anniversary of the CARICOM-Cuba Day, which has been celebrated every December 8th since 2002, when one of the event was held in Havana for the first time.

 

This December 8 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, the four independent CARICOM countries at that time, and Cuba. 

 

Cuban President sends condolences on the death of former coach Ronaldo Veitía

Veitía, the architect of the triumphs of Cuban women's judo, died Monday in Havana at the age of 75 due to complications associated with the illnesses he suffered and which worsened in recent months.
 
Havana, Dec 6 (RHC) On Monday, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel sent condolences to the relatives of the outstanding former coach of the Cuban women's judo team, Ronaldo Veitía.
 

Tribute to Fidel Castro in Mexico's Congress

On Thursday, a heartfelt tribute was paid to Fidel by the Mexican Congress at the opening of a photographic exhibition at the initiative of the Parliamentary Group of Friends of Cuba headed by Congressman Ruben Moreira.
 
The extensive exhibition for the sixth anniversary of his death moved from its headquarters at the Los Pinos Cultural Center in Chapultepec, gathers more than a hundred photos of important moments in the life and work of the Commander-in-Chief and leader of the Cuban Revolution.
 

Cuba and Russia: Strength of fraternal ties 

The second day of the official visit to the Russian Federation of the member of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of the National Assembly of People's Power and the Council of State, was also fruitful.
